Safeguard Tennessee's Future: We're All In This Together!
What? Rally to show legislators that banning and income tax in Tennessee means high sales taxes on necessary items and food for ever. No income tax means a volatile economy and ties the hands of future legislators.
Details: The House of Representatives will vote on SJR0221 to ban an income tax in Tennessee. We know that such an irresponsible measure will tie the hands of all future legislators and prevent Tennessee from correcting our broken tax structure. Study after study* has recommended that in order for Tennessee to have a stable, if not thriving, economy, fund its vital public structures (like education and safety) and create a more just and level playing field for small businesses and all citizens.
