Chattanooga Times Survey Shows Business Support for Tax
Reform

"The fact that Tennessee added a penny to its sales tax this year didn't make
a dime's worth of difference to top area business officials responding to a Chattanooga Times Free Press survey. Three-quarters
of respondents said the state still doesn't have sufficient revenue to take
care of its obligations. Fifteen percent said the state has enough money and
10 percent weren't sure. . . . 'Based on not having enough revenue, youÔd almost
have to say (itÔs necessary to) overhaul the structure to get what we
need,' . . ."
