TFT Gives Compelling Testimony to Tax Structure Study Commission
. . . . . . . .  July 31, 2003
TFT members testify TFT board chair John Stewart (standing) introduced and closed TFT's testimony before the Tax Structure Study Commission. Other speakers included (from left to right) Dale Gray, executive director of MANNA, Polly Marsh, a CPA and TFT's board treasurer, Brian Paddock, an attorney and board member representing SOCM, and Brian Miller, TFT's executive director.

The Commission was established in July 2002 at the close of the tumultuous legislative session that gave us the nation's highest sales tax. The Commission's purpose is to further study the state's tax system and recommend long-term solutions. The Commission is scheduled to report its findings in July 2004.

She spoke immediately before TFT and provided a Judeo-Christian analysis of tax reform in her home state of Alabama as well as in Tennessee.
