Our Vision: Providing educational opportunity and adequate funding of education are vital investments in our children, our state, and our future. Investing in education should be at levels that will keep the Tennessee work force competent, and ensure an informed citizenry.

• 40th in percentage of population who have completed an advance degree.
• 43rd in percentage of population that has a bachelor's degree or more (National perccentage = 27.55 / Tennessee = 21.8%)
• 49th per capita state and local government expenditures for higher education in 2006.
